Hi, I’m facing this issue on my website despite having optimized all that’s possible

Actually, if I visit Google and type:
site:yourdomain.com The title of my article making sure site:yourdomain.com is before the keyword. I will realize the post is actually on Google but not showing when it’s about the original keyword. This only affects my Posts and not Pages, neither tags or categories. Only the Posts

I have INP (220ms) issues popping up on my Google search console and I’ve tried all possible . My single post page is inherited by smartmag theme and it’s php is modified the way I want the single posts to show up but I still don’t know what to do further to optimize or remove the INP issues or just get my posts showing on Google.

Others appear properly on google: tags, categories, pages but not Posts. I use rank math.

    Hello @spottykay,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

We checked a couple of posts from your website and we can confirm that they are indexed on the SERP. However, if they don’t appear for the desired keyword, it means that its content is not well optimized to rank for that certain keyword.

Please also note that ranking on Google depends on so much more than just your on-page optimization. You could have the perfect article and still struggle to break the top 10 in SERPs. Here are some of the factors Google considers when ranking you:

    1. Your website’s authority
    2. Your content’s quality and how better it is than the other article currently ranking.
    3. How competitive the keyword is.
    4. How many backlinks you have and if they are better than what the other guys ranking for that keyword have.
    5. Your website’s crawlability.
    6. Frequency of new content and content updates.
    7. So much more that there is a dedicated blog post on it by Brian Dean ???https://backlinko.com/google-ranking-factors

If INP causes the rank down of your posts, you need to resolve that or try testing other themes to see if this improves the visibility of the posts on the SERP.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello @amakvitaa,
    ?
Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.
    ?
You will have to work on your site’s overall SEO to improve its rankings in the SERPs. Also, we can check that almost all the results for your site are either tags, categories, or paginated pages. We don’t recommend setting the tags to index as they can cause issues with the indexing and ranking of actual posts. You have a lot of tags, and to make sure that Google can index and rank the single posts for the keywords, you should set the tags to noindex.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

thanks for the timely response, but I think this particular problem started when my post page educationng.com/blog started showing a redirect error in Google search console

    Hello @amakvitaa,
    ?
It seems like Google has found some incorrect URLs redirecting to the correct ones. If the correct URLs are accessible and are being indexed, you can ignore the error. You can also use the URL Inspection tool of your GSC account to check the incorrect URLs and find the referring page to figure out how Google is discovering those. If they are related to internal links to your site, you can find them and fix the links to avoid getting the errors in GSC. You may refer to this guide:?https://rankmath.com/kb/page-with-redirect/
    ?
    Hope that helps.

thanks but i think ‘page with redirect’ is quite different from ‘redirect error’

OK, let me explain my problem again,

my post suddenly disappeared from google search, only pages and tag/category archives appears. its WordPress site (educationng.com)

    RETRACING MY STEPS

These are the three things i did on my site without knowing what actually caused it

    1. installed light speed cache

2.? installed 'Email Subscribe pop up' on post pages alone.

    3. Got a redirect error for my post page (educationng.com/blog) on my GSC?

WHAT I HAVE DONE SO FAR

    1. uninstalled lite speed cache since my web host said they already use lite speed cahce for all their servers

    2. uninstalled the EMAIL SUBSCRBE pop up plugin

    3. Changed my post page to (educationng.com/articles) since my fix for redirect failed twice on GSC for the initial post page.

    4. Place all my Tag archive pages to No-index on my yoast plugin.

    NOTE:

    1. My site posts use to rank very well on google search before all these.

    2. My posts index in GSC but does not appear in search results even when i use site:educationng.com, only pages and archive appear.

    3. its been about 2 weeks now no improvements

    4. i have no security issues or manual actions on my GSC

    5. i am considering hiring someone on fivrr to help but someone highly recommended me to this five started google community.

Don’t know if this will help you in this case but what worked for me was to remove the focus keywords and optimized the meta title, permalink, and description making sure they follow Google guide lines.

thanks sportykay, have been expecting ur drop by, but I have some questions,

I have about 300 post should I remove all their focus keywords, even though the seo plugin will show me no SEO optimization, or did you do it for new subsequent posts only.

Again u said ‘follow Google guidelines’, but I is there anything in particular I should look out for.

and finally how long did you wait before u start getting your traffic from posts back. I I am also using a child theme

    Thread Starter spottykay

    (@spottykay)

Using Focus Keywords or not sometimes depends on your post content and niche.
You have to pick a single or more posts (just note them down) and remove the focus keywords then recheck by searching on Google after 24hours or more depending on when Google crawler chooses to index those updated posts. If it works, you would definitely find it among the search results.

Also make sure your post contents are well optimized and Google isn’t having issues with them.
The first response from Rank math support in this thread will give you more insights about that.

It’s okay to use a child theme, also make sure your site loads fast, and go through the first response by the Support.

OK man, I’ll try that, about the site speed please @rankmathsupport is my site not loading fast enough?,

    Hello @amakvitaa,
    ?
We can check that your latest post is indexed in the SERPs:?https://i.rankmath.com/i/jJZalg
    ?
So, there is no issue with the indexing of the site. The issue is related to rankings and since you’re using Yoast, we recommend getting in touch with their support, as they will be in a better position to assist you further.
    ?
    Thank you.

thanks, I use rank math with yoast,, but this evening am moving fully to rankMaths, maybe then you can be of more help, am only trying to study my settings such as the no index I placed on tags, I hope I could synchronize them when I move to rank math fully this night, since there is no way to cross import settings, please stay closeby, while I migrate.

i hhave fully moved to rankMaths, optimize a post and submited to GSC, hopefully the results be better than with yoast
