I an a newbie to WordPress and do not know if I am duplicating coverage by some plugins I have installed and activated on my WordPress site since I have WordFence installed and configured as well. The explanations are a simple review of each plugin. If you have better suggestions than these plugins let me know and I will research those suggestions. Thanks in advance for educating me!

I have in installed the following Plugins, which ones maybe should be uninstalled

a3 Lazy Load – helps load pages faster

Antispam Bee – I think this is unnecessary since I have WordFence

Autoptimize – optimizes site by compressing pages etc.

WP-Optimize – optimizes your database by deleting old content in tables etc.

  • Hi @ssar17,

The plugins you listed are not duplicated by Wordfence!

a3 Lazy Load – If you have a lot of images on your site, it will convert them into objects that will only load when it is visible to the user. (So images that are outside of the scroll window, they won’t download)

Antispam Bee – This is a comment spam filter, it filters comments by content, language, regular expressions, etc. Wordfence only blocks comments that are deemed malicious in terms of security, not in terms of spam.

Autoptimize – This plugin adds cache headers to scripts/styles. If your site did not already add cache headers to static files, this will make it so users are not downloading scripts/styles over and over when they visit.

WP-Optimize – This deletes certain rows in the comment table of your database. This shouldn’t conflict with Wordfence, as it does not touch the data of tables outside of WordPress.

You should be able to safely use all these plugins with Wordfence. Let us know if you’re encountering any conflicts!
