Other then product fields

  • Thanks for the nice plugin.
    Can i give a suggestion?
    In the feed, i can only add productfields; so only the total field.

    It would be superb if we could add any number field.
    Then we can use calculations in GF, and let the user only pay a deposit of 30%; calculated in a number-field.

    Is this somehow possible or in the pipeline?

    Yes, but as stated in the referred ticket; we can only see Pricing Fields in the dropdown.
    And not a standard number field; that kind of field where it is possible to make calculations.

    Or is there another way to calculate? And bring in the fields?

    Hi Dave,

    Using product/pricing fields is dictated by Gravity Forms. That just the way payment gateways are set up by default.

    But calculations are also possible in such fields. Just add a product field and use the “field type” drop down in the general settings tab of the product field to set the field type to “calculation”.

    Once you have done that, you can use the Formula input in that field to do any type of calculation you desire. You can als use values from other fields. Those other fields do not need to be product fields.
