• I admit, I used it for one label. Change is hard. This seemed like a whole lot of extra stuff I didn’t need. However, I figured they would have fixed the ONE THING that every shipping service offers: putting in ounces as whole number, not a percentage of a pound. It’s a pain to have to know that 10oz is .625 of a pound. Will give it another try when they make it make sense.

Also, the time to get me to switch isn’t when I’m in the throes of shipping. I thought I was dismissing yet another annoying banner and suddenly, poof! You’re shipping like this now, honey! And by poof, I mean spin, spin, spin the forever loading. Surprisingly slow!

    Hi @snoopsbme,

Thanks for your feedback. Just so I understand correctly, you want the ability to either choose if the value you entered is oz or lbs?

At present the weight unit used is the one that your shop is set up with and that is used on your product pages. You can modify this by going to WooCommerce -> Settings -> Product and then changing the weight unit. Just note that changing the weight unit will affect your products so you will have to go and update the weight on every product after changing the weight unit. Hopefully this makes sense, we are trying to stay true to how the rest of your store is set up.

Thanks for this feedback, we did try and make the messaging as clear as possible and requiring clicking an actionable button twice before the update happens. We will definitely evaluate how we can make this process even more clear.

    Thanks!

Thanks for following up on my feedback!

Pounds or ounces? Not both, together? Every shipping platform I’ve ever used has a space for both. I ship tiny packages and large packages. If I have a package that’s 2lbs 7oz, I can either figure out the decimal for 7/16, or I can figure out 16+16+7. I realize it’s basic math, but really, this isn’t a captcha to check if I’m human, it’s supposed to be an easy process to get shipping done as quickly as possible. Really, the country should have switch to metric for ease of use long before I was born, but here we are.

Also, after doing some more testing of the plugin, I still can’t add additional insurance on to USPS packages over $100. The only reason I might need this would be to add DHL and UPS, which I don’t. Plus, DHL and UPS must require extra setup since I can’t get either to work. Also, when you switch between the carrier package and the saved templates tabs, it has to recalculate every time which takes long enough to be annoying.

The thing I do like is the custom package for one-off boxes! That’s great!

Hi @snoopsbme, I am letting you know that we listened to your feedback and implemented the option to select the weight unit when creating a label, we have even automated the conversions. Hopefully this shows our dedication to improving the product and would make you reconsider changing your review.

At present we do not offer te ability to purchase additional insurance for packages, but you can perhaps look into a solution like https://woocommerce.com/products/norton-shopping-guarantee-with-package-protection/

As for UPS, this is not currently supported, however we are actively working on onboarding new carriers so we might have support for additional carriers very soon.

    Have a great day!
