Hi,

I love this theme, i’ve been designing a site now with wordpress for 2 weeks and I have been through 50 different themes with plug ins and just felt “bleh” with everyone and I thought it was just the best it could look and then I found this theme and I love it, SO much better, actually looks professional and awesome. I just downloaded the zerif lite them a few hours ago and I think I am going to buy the pro version. I have a question as I play around with this version
The Our Focus section widget does everything I need it to do, but the pictures for some reason are zoomed in so far you can’t even tell what the pictures is. Why does it do that? How do you fix it? Do you have to use a certain size picture? I know it cant be designed to make every picture zoom in so far you cant recognize it lol

Can you attach a link to your website so I can better understand how the images are zoomed?

I kept playing around with it and realized exactly what you said, i made my pictures around 63×63 and they all fit. Now i’m just having the same problem as some other posters, when I put in my own images the hover highlight effect stops working. I used the widget and it stopped working, if i removed my pictures then it works again. I tried entering directly into the editor and when I did, it posted my picture and information just like the widget, but the hover highlight effect still stopped working. Am I doing something wrong?

Also @marius I don’t see the “latest news” area on my website. I filled in the title and information on the customization sidebar and the section is not hidden (hide section box is unchecked) and its not there. I can hide it or unhide it and erase the information and put it back in and nothing ever happens to the website, like that section doesn’t exist. Can you help with that also?

@philipem do you have that problem with the lastest news section also?

I checked the theme on various tools, it looks like there are some problems with js and css which is noticeable. I did not have time to look into it in more details but I will try and let you know.

Hello,

Thanks for reporting the issues, we’ll get them fixed ASAP ??
For the Latest News section not appearing, I’m guessing it’s because you have not set Featured Images for the posts. Let me know if this was the issue.

Thanks a lot.

I checked the site on pingdom and show-slow and main suggestions are:
1. Make JavaScript and CSS external
2. Minify JavaScript and CSS
3. Make fewer http requests.

First what I am planning to do is to get rid of these google font links.

Yeah definitely CSS and JavaScript are the weakest points of the site in terms of speed. And sometimes you do not need any tools to realize that something is not right.

Same suggestion from Google Page Speed
Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
Your page has 3 blocking script resources and 13 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.
