Our newly launched WordPress site – feedback please!

How about replacing that “shadow” above your slider to a lighter grey colour. Personally I find the color #fafafa easier to read with purple text, than the darker grey. Then using that same colour as the hover status on the menu items. Also perhaps rounding the bottom corners of the drop-down menu?

I would also make your hyperlinks a consistent and distinct colour. You have some plain text the same or a similar shade of colour to your menu links.

Also how about breaking up those paragraphs on the home page up?

I think it’s an excellent site overall. The areas that stick out to me are:

– The pictures are a bit too big IMO. I love pics and I personally have them for all of my own articles but I think in your case they eat up too much real estate. For instance, even at a high res on my laptop, I can only see 1.5 lines of content since everything else falls beneath the fold.

– The header/nav is elegant but there’s also a lot of white space. I understand that the logo (love it, BTW) is portrait so that is forcing the height but perhaps you could lower the nav and add a banner above it? The banner could be your own, like a link to a coupon or white paper.

The site looks beautiful… as well as neat and clean ??
