We were experiencing a myriad of problems, namely speed! With WP-Optimize we got a cache to speed up the transfer of data to users, compression for images and minification for CSS and javascript files. And I shopped the plugin world of MANY alternative plugins before I bought the Pro version of WP-Optimize. Some helped out in some aspects of SEO, but lacked in other areas enough that I chose against these other plugins.
