We are confused. All of a sudden our students are getting a VERY alarming notice, that we believe may be coming from Cleantalk. It reads:

“Anti-Crawler protection is checking your IP for spam bots. You will automatically be redirected to the requested page after 3 seconds. Do not close this page.”

Is this coming from Cleantalk? We may have checked an advanced box in Cleantalk preferences that is now causing this.

If this is coming from Cleantalk, we DO NOT EVER WANT THIS!!! This is totally alarming our students and making them feel that they are somehow being attacked with spam bots.

We never want to show such a notice to our students ever, and if this is coming from Cleantalk, we must turn this off or we will not be able to use Cleantalk.

Please advise urgently. Thanks, we have loved Cleantalk for many years, but if this is something new that we haven’t used before, we don’t want such notices ever! Thanks.

    Hello.
    Thank you for your request.

This is the Anti-Crawler blocking screen. More details are here:?https://cleantalk.org/help/anti-flood-and-anti-crawler.
And if you are concerned about the Anti-Crawler simply disable it in the Anti-Spam settings:
WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Advanced settings —> Uncheck the Anti-Crawler (at the end of the list) —> Save Changes.
It will not affect the webform protection.
