Our Website Shows Fatal Error

  • I run a non profit dog rescue, and we have not made any edits to our website recently. When I tried getting to our website, and even logging in on the admin side, I received the following error:

    Fatal error: Declaration of Give\Framework\FieldsAPI\Concerns\ShowInReceipt::showInReceipt($showInReceipt = true): Give\Framework\FieldsAPI\Concerns\ShowInReceipt must be compatible with Give\Framework\FieldsAPI\Field::showInReceipt($showInReceipt = true): Give\Framework\FieldsAPI\Field in /home/customer/www/chicagocaninerescue.org/public_html/wp-content/plugins/give-form-field-manager/src/FormFields/Fields/WPEditor.php on line 19

    I don’t know how to fix this and we desperately need our site back up and running!

  • the error is related to the Give Form Field Manager plugin (/public_html/wp-content/plugins/give-form-field-manager/). You can deactivate the plugin from FTP by renaming the directory name (give-form-field-manager)

    I can’t log into the back end of our website to deactivate anything, is there another way to do that?

    Hi, yes there is another way to deactivate the plugin: Via ftp you need to rename the directory /wp-content/plugins/give-form-field-manager into something else e.G. deactivated-give-form-field-manager
