• Hi guys,

I’m new around here. But I’m not new to WordPress. I’m not very good with PHP – haven’t read any books or such – but I’ve trial and errored for a few years now and become fairly good with it.

I’ve built a magazine website for our magazine, Devotion. It’s Swedens biggest independent magazine. It’s a non-profit business.

    Our URL is: https://www.devotionmagazine.se/

    That’s the main page.

Here’s an example of a single page: https://www.devotionmagazine.se/caribou/

I can’t list what plugins I’ve hacked or edited, or what themes I’ve combined – there are too many to mention. Whatever plugins/themes that had to be paid for has been paid for, too.

But it’s mostly based around my own hacks and setups to get around problems that normally would occur. It’s pretty advanced, or at least the most advanced WordPress website I’ve ever done. I hope you like it.

If you got any questions regarding my setup, please contact me at [email protected]

Oh, and by the way – the website is currently slow due to some “ish”.
    Going to be sorted soon.

Other than that all should be fine.

Hi, you can try some .htaccess hacks to speed up your website. Because, I’ve just checked and it takes 90 secs on 2 Mbps speed. So.. you can check it..

    A small example is here!

[Code moderated as per the Forum Rules. Please use the pastebin]

This basically uses GZIP compression and a bit caching!

Hm, how would I solve that, or make that work? I’m not very good with that sort of stuff, and I don’t want to play around too much with .htaccess. ??

But, what if we change stuff around – I mean, update the website CSS or other layout files – would our visitors get a cached version?

Btw, I’ve installed the WP-Super Cache plugin now, and done the .htaccess changes explained in the WP-Super Cache plugin FAQ.

I like your blog, except it has non-english language ??

    You got so nice blog.

What is the name of the theme who dis you use in your website?
