Our WordPress Was hacked….

  • Not sure what happened, but check it out and view source. Bunch of code in there for a pill selling site. I cant even get into admin. Just gives me some funky redirect with a blank page. What are my options? Here is the site:

    Oh I should point out, that whatever they did to hack it, they also managed to send out a notice to all subscribers of a “new post” too which was really an old post. I guess they are planting malware because google says its an unsafe site now?!?! =(

    Restore from a previous state if you have a recent backup.

    Upgrade to the latest WordPress version and change MySQL username and password for the DB then change your WordPress username and password.

    Take your site down while fixing as you wouldn’t want the hacker to get in back while you are fixing it.
