• Hi there,

I have pre-order products set to become out of stock on set dates, and when the date passes the products do disappear from the frontend… but they’re replaced with a blank space.

    Here’s a picture of what I mean https://ibb.co/L08vH4v

Also in the backend the products are labelled as ‘Out of stock’, but show up in ‘In stock’ searches and have to be updated as ‘Out of stock’.

Here are the search terms https://ibb.co/5jWm30v
    And the results https://ibb.co/KhDK6hP

Am I doing something wrong, or is it supposed to work like this?

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi @japenz ,

    I checked your images.

Are you using any caching plugin on your site? Our plugin doesn’t support caches as this would prevent the real-time updates of all the changes, regarding prices, stocks and so on.

You can kindly clear the caches completely from your site and check again.

    Best regards.

    Hi @janilyn409,

    I do use WP Rocket.

So I can’t use a caching plugin if I want to use the timer plugin?
Can I set exclusion in the caching plugin to avoid any conflicts perhaps?

I’ve cleared the caches many times, and the result descibed has always been the case.
I’ve been using your plugin for a while, but it’s now at a point where the products not being fully updated to ‘out of stock’ takes too long to manually update due to the number of products with timers.

Thanks for your help, any suggestions would be much appreciated ??

I ran a test with WP Rocket deactivated on a staging site and got the same result.

I assume you’re seeing different results on your end.

Anything else that might cause the issue?

    Hi @japenz ,

You can check the settings of the caching plugin to make sure our plugin is exempted from caches.

Also, you can try by deactivating all other plugins, only keep WooCommerce and ours to check everything out. Then reactivate others one by one to find which is causing this issue.

I checked on our test site and the stock status is being updated properly in the real time. So maybe there is something interfering at the moment on your site.

    Best regards.

    Hi @janilyn409,

So I’m testing on two staging sites with different hosts (WP Engine and Hostarmada) with just Woocommerce and WPC Product Timer active, and with a default theme and I’m seeing the same thing.

Can you confirm on your end that if you go into the product listing and check the inventory tab after the timer has passed, it has changed to ‘Out of Stock’ please?

The products are showing on the frontend as out of stock, but in the backend the Stock status is still set to ‘In stock’.
