    Hi,

I noticed that GA is not tracking outbound clicks anymore. Everything else seems to work fine (including the adjusted bounce rate events), but this.

Do you have any ideas on what I could be missing?

    Many thanks,
    Kevin

Hi @daanvandenbergh, did you have a chance to look into this?

I’m using WP Rocket so I tried excluding the analytics.js from all optimizations but it didn’t solve the issue. Also, as mentioned the bounce rate adjustment event works.

    Thank you!??

    Hi Kevin,

Sorry I didn’t get back to you earlier. Life’s a bit hectic right now. A few weeks ago my mother was taken into the ER, last week my grandmother suddenly died, and a few days ago my uncle had a stroke. Meanwhile, I have a 5 months old daughter.

Outbound links tracking isn’t provided by analytics.js, but rather an inline javascript function called _caosLt().

Does WP Rocket offer a way to exclude scripts by keyword? If so, you could add caosLt to that list and see if that helps.

    Hi Daan,

I’m sorry to hear about your grandmother. It sounds like your family is having a rough time and I hope things will get better soon.

Thank you for your answer. I haven’t been able to fix the issue yet but I have reached out to WP Rocket for further help to exclude the function.

    All the best,
    Kevin

    Hi @kevinlg,

Just wanted to let you know that the most recent version included a fix for outbound link tracking, which should fix your issue!

Let me know how it goes!
