Instructions are outdated as Amazon has changed their terms with developers and third party plugins. Very disappointing as there is a Pro version and this came recommended.

You’re right, Drew, and I’m really sorry for that – as I am for the late reply.

But as a matter of fact, we were waiting for over a month for our US developer account to get approved, after first opening a US seller account, which took less time – both required in that order to finally get a US Developer ID that can be authorized by US sellers.

That process was finally completed last Friday, after which I implemented support for new US sellers over the weekend and released an update to version 0.9.15 on all channels.

It should be noted that we had implemented the new system for EU sellers about a month ago already, which was no problem as we didn’t have to register a new account and wait to get it approved as a developer, all that was already there.

So at that time there were two setup instructions / systems, even within WP-Lister: Depending on which marketplace you selected (US or any EU market) you’d see different instructions. That’s partly why I postponed updating the docs, it would have complicated things and would have to be changed very soon again.

Yes, I should have added a big notice at the top that these instructions are not up to date and that you should simply follow the instructions that will appear within WP-Lister itself. Only that those instructions wouldn’t actually work for many new US sellers… a really uncomfortable situation that we never expected to last that long.

To my defense, I had added a note on the list of supported marketplaces, but that was only on our website and not here on www.ads-software.com. You are right, I should have mentioned it at the top of the setup instructions.

Anyway, now it’s all updated – just in case you want to have another look: https://docs.wplab.com/article/85-first-time-setup

    kind regards,
    Matt
