Outgoing mail stopped working. Bad username password. Unable to revoke account

Up until recently, outgoing mail started failing. Test messages now fail with:
SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.
2020-08-24 09:42:14 CLIENT -> SERVER: QUIT
2020-08-24 09:42:14 SMTP INBOUND: “535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted.Under General SMTP status shows CONNECTED.
I’m unable to Revoke access by visiting account settings. Inside my connected Google account, there is no reference to this APP.We’re at a loss. Why has the bad password error started if the password hasn’t changed? Why can’t we revoke access to try and set up again?
