Outlines not applying to pages

    Howdy!

    I’ve put a lot of work into customizing Gantry 5 for WordPress recently for a new-ish client project. On completion of a fair amount of the front end CSS I noticed that “Outlines” aren’t saving to the pages I’ve specified.

    Example: I created a new YAML file for a “Home” page, but the styles and particles are being inherited sitewide despite having defined a new “Page” template that doesn’t at all contain the elements the client expects to see solely on the “Home” page. Changing values on the “Assignments” tab produces no results and wipes out the custom HTML written for the “Home” page display, so I’m having to rewrite it each and every time I attempt to assign a different outline to “Page”. Rewriting this HTML also produces no effect if and when I edit the template from the “Outlines” tab.

    This site is due to be launched tomorrow, and it would be terrible to scrap all of the existing work. Any assistance to have Gantry 5 properly recognize and apply defined templates and “Outlines” is much appreciated.

    Did you manually create the YAML file ? Where did you add the Custom HTML ? Did you manually modified the layouts ?     Thanks for the reply, and the answers to your questions above are all yes. It turns out however the issue is conflict with a Windows VPS on GoDaddy. I wasn’t aware of the client’s server technology until late last night, so I’m working now to move them over to a Linux instance. The VPS is running the latest and greatest PHP but there are some oddball permissions that even when corrected still produced the errors I was seeing.

    Hmm that’s very odd – Gantry 5 should be compatible with Windows. I wonder what caused the issues – but yah, since there are YAML files, this could be a permission issue.
