  • @wendyc, Sorry for the issue you’re having. Can you please paste the image URL you’re having issue with?

    Thanks, Umesh

Thank you for using Smush. I am going to close this topic as we have not received any follow-up information. If you would like us to continue to troubleshoot the issue let us know and we can reopen the thread.

In running a PageSpeed test I see that most of your images are scaled around 2x the container sizes. This will look cleaner on retina but will slow your page speed way down if you don’t use something like src and srcset HTML.

“New in HTML5 is an image attribute named srcset. This attribute is used to define a list of image source files, along with sizing information, so that the browser can select the most appropriate option.”

I hope this helps explain how you can display crisp images based on display size.

    Hey @jdailey,
I too facing the very same issue.

    I’m using WP Smush Plugin.

    Please help.

@sumt7 it looks like your images are not properly scaled for the themes containers. This would not be a function of Smush. Smush can set a max width and height but does not scale to fit. If you look at your example image it is pulling a 150px image for an over 700px container. I hope this helps as you select image moving forward. Enjoy!

    Thank for the information!
