• Hi there,

I’m using this plugin and it apparently works well, but when I shrink the browser to check how my website would look on mobile devices, the responsiveness seems to be affected, as it makes a mess overlapping the pictures and descriptions of my products. Other than that, it works beautifully.

    Please, help me with this.

PS: I’m using the free version of this plugin.

  • Hi tcn,

There are no features that allow adding tabs at the moment. However, through custom fields, you may customize what is displayed on your Additional Information Tab, as well to change the labelling of this tab through the “Options” tab.

    Hi TCN,

Actually, we added a new feature yesterday that allows you to add new tabs, if you go to the “Product Pages” tab, and then select the “Tabbed” layout from the dropdown menu (That was a lot of “tabs” in one sentence haha).

It was added yesterday, so it’s possible that some types of content don’t display correctly using this feature. You’ll also need to make sure whatever content you include sizes itself correctly inside of the tab.

    Hi,

That’s so nice to hear, or rather read! I’ll check it out right away and I’ll tell you. Anyways, I changed the CSS and I think I can get by for now, but the better the plugin looks, the happier will I be. Hope this works out.

    Hello,

I gave a try to the Add Tabs Option and I’d like to suggest something. I think it would be way better to add a tab label solely, instead of a predefined tab+descriptions for ALL items. I would like to add a tab with a label and later include a description for each product individually. If you could that it would be great.

    Hi tcn,

Thank you again for your great implication in the improvement of our plugin. We really appreciate your opinions, and will take it into consideration for our future release! ??

    Best regards,

    Hi Etoile,

I have still same problem with overlapping in mobile view by thumbnail layout view and even after today update still the problem there!!! however if you can advise me how to change the first layout from thumbnail to detail for mobile view (Only mobile one) I really appreciate, because this layout showing in mobile perfectly and overlapping problem is only for thumbnail one.

P.S, I saw somewhere in your website about adding attribute but 2 problems, where is attribute and second I need that only for mobile

    Thank you in advance

    Best regards

    Hello again,

I was just wondering whether you’ll finally make individual tabs possible in the next updates.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards

    Hi tcn,

We’ve added it already. If you go to the “Product Page” tab, and then select “Tabbed” layout in the dropdown, you can create your own custom tabs.

    Hello,

I already know this new function, which is great, but I’d like to tweak it further. What I would like to do is just add a tab, and the content to be created for each product (same tab for products, but different descriptions). I think this can’t be done so far.

    Thank you.

    Hi tcn,

You can do that using custom fields. Add a custom field’s slug as a shortcode:

    [product-specs]

if you have a field with the slug “product-spacs”.

    Hello,

I’m sorry but I still have no clue how to do this. I’m really confused:

I think this fellow member made what I want:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/custom-field-shortcodes-not-working-in-tabs

However, I don’t know what are the exact steps to be taken.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hello,

I’ve been trying to follow your steps and seems the functionality I’m asking for is not available yet. It allows me to make a custom tab (let’s say “list of contents” as a tab label), but I don’t want the same content to be displayed in all products with the tab “list of contents”. If I ever attempt to write any kind of text one the “list of content” (i.g: 1-item A, 2-item B) in each product I do get the same text in all of them (don’t want all products to display “item a and b” but add or quit as many as I need to.

I’m not sure whether I’m explaining it too badly or I just don’t get how to paste shortcodes/slugs.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi tcn,

It seems that the custom fields are displaying properly on the catalogue, but only wrongly on the product page. We will give it a fix as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.

For other users that will be using the feature, here are the steps to take in order to display the custom field.

    1. Create a new custom field with its slug (e.g. Name: Testing Field; slug testing-field) and set it to display on the Tabbed Layout
    2. Create new products with values for the new custom field
    3. Create tab by going on Products Page > Add Tabs (Name: New tab; content: [testing-field])

    Hi,

Exactly, that’s what’s actually going on. Displays perfectly on the backend but not on the frontend. The additional custom tabs of some products appear with repeated info (even when in the catalogue they’re empty).

Hope you fix it ASAP. Thank you again!
