Hi, I’m new to pinpoint booking and would like some input on the best way to handle setting up these reservation patterns. This will be for a pet boarding facility with the following boarding options:

    Day stay: 7am-7pm
    Night stay (12 hours): 7pm-7am
    Night stay (24 hours): 7pm-7pm
    half-day (morning): 7am-1pm
    half-day (afternoon): 1pm-7pm

Extended stays – multiple 24hour night stays

There are a maximum of 20 slots for any time period but the issue is that if someone books a “24hour night stay” – it also should remove one of the 20 “day stay” slots. Same with the half-day which will remove a day stay slot but leave the other half of the day open.

My current thought is to break the day up into 6 hour blocks with each “product” reserving the required number of 6 hour blocks needed. For example a Day stay would be two 6 hour blocks, a 24 hour night stay would be four 6 hour blocks and a half day being one 6 hour block. Clients should also be able to book multiple days at a time for example – 5 days stays for the work week.

Is this possible? Would it be only 1 calendar and multiple products? Any guidance in how to set this up would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

You will need to use a calendar with hours and to create hour definitions.
However, the calendar will allow you to book only hours from the same day. You cannot book for example the interval 07:00 pm – 01:00 am.

Also, you cannot use days and hours in the same calendar.

If you have any other questions regarding Pinpoint Booking System please send an email to [email protected] and our support team will guide you.

    Thank you!

Thank you. Since I can only find one plugin that could do this (a paid plugin) we decided to simplify the booking and use Days instead of hours and add the “type of stay” as an attribute to the woocommerce product.

I do have a question though regarding the use of days. The days are not counted in the quantity. Currently if a person books 7 days and adds them to their cart it only shows a quantity of one – not a quantity of 7. This makes it difficult to set up discount rules based on quantity (number of days). Is there a setting to change this?

    Hello,

This feature already exists in Pinpoint >Discounts. You can set a discount to apply for a minimum – maximum days selected.

    Thank you!

This is might be different topic from this, But I really need it, I am running a websites on Military Time, I want to show 24 hour clock but there are no one plugin and codes to show clock, Please tell if you know any way.
    thanks
