Overlapping – timeline not displaying correctly

    When you go directly to the history page from the main navigation as a dropdown the timeline displays correctly with no issues. It loads fresh and fades in no problem.

    I think it is working correctly because it loading when the page is clicked.

    The issue with the timeline is when you click on another subpage from the top nav or side nav of about first, then navigate to the history page the timeline is overlapping, it is all bunched up. I think it’s because the page doesn’t know to load the timeline because it thinks you haven’t navigated to that page yet.

    If you have a work around for this or any suggestion as to how to resolve this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Adam,

    I can’t really tell what’s going on as it looks like your theme is loading that page via ajax or something. Since the ‘About’ page looks to be 4 separate sections (each hidden, and set to fade in when a subnav item is clicked), I believe the issue is that when you head into the about page, the timeline attempts to be initialized but since it’s in a hidden container things don;t initialize properly.

    You can test this theory by resizing your browser page when the items are stacked, and the timeline will lay itself out properly.

    The bit of JavaScript that is used to initialize the scripts can be found inside of script.timeline-express.js – lines 30-34.

    You should be able to write script to re-fire that function when the appropriate sub navigation is selected. I’m not 100% sure though, as I haven’t encountered the issue first hand.

    Hey Evan,

    Do you know of any moderators that can remove the invue dev link from my first post above.
    it’s a backlink available on google where people can find the new zoo link and i don’t want people to have access to this link at the moment.

    I didn’t realize that posts can’t be edited or removed.

    Any help on this would be appreciated.
