    Hi,

I added an option in the latest version (3.6.1) to add an overlay image. You can indicate the image’s URL in the “overlay image” field. Then you can choose the place to display it with “overlay image position”.

Is that the option you were searching for?

    Hi domp101,

i had a different thing in mind: showing an individual background image, while the photosphere image is loading (which sometimes takes a while because of the size). You can achieve this by surrounding the sphere with a div like this:

    <div style="width: 100%; height: 315px; margin: 0px; border: 0px; spacing: 0px; background-image: url('/wp-content/uploads/Photosphere_Overlay.jpg');">[sphere 1234]</div>

So, if the kind of overlay provided in settings is not what you want, then this might be an alternative.

I appreciate the feedback. I actually was interested on having a overlay that rotated with the photosphere. I wanted to point out interesting facts about points within the photosphere. Have a circle, or rectangle to highlight an area in the photosphere. And if at all possible, a hyperlink in the overlay when clicked it would take you to information about that specific spot.

    I hope that makes sense.

    Thanks again everyone!

    Hi,

This website doesn’t use WordPress, I directly used Photo Sphere Viewer to display a panorama in a div that takes all the screen. It’s not really a background.

I don’t know if such a feature could be a good idea in WordPress. Anyway, this topic is not the best place to talk about it. ??
