I am including a Flash SWF that shows a cartoon in each post. I have the ‘Blog pages show at most’ set to one so the user isn’t burdened with more than one video at a time trying to load. But for the Search and Archives, I’d like to show a listing that is more than one, and that doesn’t include the video itself. Is there a way to do that?

    Thanks,

    TW

  • CQS plugin – you can download it from my site.
    (CQS = custom query string)

    Ah heck, spoke too soon.

The plugin works perfectly and does what you say. But since the videos are part of my posts, it includes them all in each post in the list. There may be as many as twenty in a monthly archive. Is there a way to modify the plugin so that it only lists the titles of the posts, with permalinks in place? (The titles are hyperlinked back to the post.)

    Thanks,

    Ah, bliss….

Changed the_content to the_excerpt in da loop, and all is well.

    Way BIG thank you!

Sorry to have to revive this post, but I can’t find CQS listed in the plugins as having its own forum.

I’ve added Sphere and ShareThis links at the bottom of each post. They show up as plain text in the archive listings. It’s just a matter of tidy housekeeping, but I was wondering if there’s a way to exclude them from the Archives listing. If you go to my site (linked in my user name) and click on ‘August 2008’ in the sidebar, you can see the setup.

No biggie if it’s more trouble than it’s worth.
