override of default root page

  • Given a stock install of the plugin, your root is defined as “wiki” and it lists all the wiki articles in a big long list. For example your own website does this – https://www.webtng.com/wiki/

    Is there a way to have that root just display a regular page where I could put the TOC widget into the sidebar and NOT get the list of all the articles?

    Hi Alex,

    This is the way WordPress works and unfortunately there isn’t a quick setting to change it.

    I know of two options for creating a custom archive page: You can use a tool to do this, like Toolset or the pro version of Elementor, Beaver Themer, or some other page builder with theme building features. Or you can manually create a PHP template as per the WordPress codex:

    One thing I think some people do is to create a wiki page with a TOC or whatever they want on it and then add that to the site menu, kind of by passing it.
