Hi there
I have woocommerce 3.08. I sell physical stock and often woocommerce lets the stock go into negative / oversells it. I have back orders turned off and stock is managed at the variation level. This is causing obvious issues, selling stock i dont have, stress & embarrassment when i have to refund orders… I do have many plugins, I have disabled them and it still happens. The example product is https://www.handmadesupplies.com.au/product/long-sleeve-tops/ Yellow 2-3. Is currently negative from over selling ??

People have suggested that it’s caused by concurrent orders or cart holds. But my site is not busy enough for that.

WooCommerce POS creates orders using the WC REST API. There is no stock check for orders placed this way.

At some point in the future I will add more settings to handle out-of-stock items, but currently it is up to the cashier to determine whether the item is in stock or not.

I’m not talking about wc pos. The issue occurs with straight, online customer made orders.

I just had with happen with a busy site. Lucky we were watching the orders closely.

I also have back orders turned off and stock is managed at the variation level.

Hold stock was set to 60. I’m now trailing without this setting. I think there is a major bug here.

I found that plugin too. It’s great. Unbelievable that this is even an issue. retail 101 is inventory control… come on WC guys. If you want enterprise then this must be fixed!
