overwriting excerpts

    Excerpts on blog listings display information from the plugin rather than the post excerpt. I’m using the Boo theme, which is built on VC/WPBakery. I had a similar issue with a different plugin, which was fixed in an update of that plugin, hoping this will be a simple fix.

    I’ve disabled the sharing icons from displaying on the front end for the time being, but am still using the counters that display on the admin side for posts.

    I love this plugin it’s so elegant and streamlined. I’ve looked at many others and this is by far my favorite… except for this little issue. Thank you.

    Update: I switched the excerpt to lazy loading and that has seemed to fix the issue. Not ideal but it works.

    I’m sorry you had this issue. Shared Counts does not make any changes to post excerpts so I’m not sure what’s causing your problem. It sounds like you were able to resolve it though.
