• WP ver 6.2.2

plugin installs fine, I was able to add API and auth key and OWA server URL ok but there is nothing in the website id line. I turned off the plugin but then the save button goes away and it throws an error. Removing the plugin and reinstalling does not change this status.

I tested on 2 different web site both on WP 6.2x same issue.

  • I am facing the same issue, can enter the API and secret passphrase, but cannot select any website ID. Tracking does not work finally.
I realized that the Secret auth key does contain the character ‘space’. I entered the secret including the ‘space’ however, I am not sure if this is supposed to be like this or if this even causes the issue.
When I try to change the Secret key in the config file into one without ‘space’ it won’t let me access my OWA page, throwing a strange source code reply.

It also shows a message on the Dashboard saying:
“Open Web Analytics requires that you select a?Site ID?before tracking can begin.”

Unfortunately, I have had to move to plausible.io as there seems to be a lot of issues with the OWA WP plugin. I know I could use the straight JS code but having a working plugin for my customers is much easier.
