Owl Carousel not working with siteorigin editor
-
I am unable to get the owl carousel working with siteorigin pagebuilder editor but all works fine when standard editor is used also the foogallery button does not work with the siteorigin pagebuilder either.

How have you used it with Siteorigin? Have you just pasted the shortcode into a WYSIWYG box? Please clarify a little so I can replicate the issue.
Thanks!
Hi Matt,
I have tried to use the foogallery button in the siteorigin editor but this will not allow me to add any galleries at all as when you click on the foogallery button it does not do anything to enable me to select a gallery. So I then added the shortcode directly to the editor and tried a page preview and the page showed but not the owl carousel so I then went to the live page which again showed everything except the carousel.
I then disabled the siteorigin editor to revert back to the standard editor and followed the same process this time the gallery button worked and also the shortcode so it seems that there is an issue when the foogallery and carousel are used with siteorigin pagebuilder. Thanks
Forgot to say wordpress and all plugins and themes are uptodate latest versions available.
Thanks
CAn you provide a link to a page where I can see the problem live? Once I have that, I’ll have everything I need to replicate and dig into the issue. Let me know, thanks!
Hi Matt,
I have set up a temporary page using siteorigin with two owl galleries one inserted using the siteorigin editor widget and the other using the arbitary text widget.
https://www.rachelsavine.co.uk/Main_Site/test/
As you can see the carousel is ok on the second method but does not display on the first and as I explained the add foogallery button does not work on the siteorigin editor either.
Hope this helps?Thanks
OK, both of those galleries seem to be working as expected actually. You’re not seeing the navigation buttons or dots because it seems you have those both disabled in your Gallery settings.
I think you just need to enable either the Navigation or the Pagination settings and you’ll be good to go — unless I’m totally misunderstanding what the problem is.
Hi Matt,
I was working on something else last night before I finished for the day and disabled siteorigin (SORRY MY FAULT) and forgot to enable it again.
I have now enabled siteorigin again and if you go to the link you tried before you should now see the issue, as I said peviously this seems to be a compatibility issue with siteorigin pagebuilder editor as I know it works without it.
Thank you and sorry again I appreciate your assistance.
I look forward to hearing from you.Thank you
The second carousel is working as expected. But the first isn’t. There’s a JS error on the site as well. I’d suggest deactivating ALL plugins except Siteorigin Builder and FooGallery and Owl and see if that resolves the issue.
If it does, then re-activate each plugin one by one and check for the error again until you find the plugin that triggered the conflict. Then I can replicate the problem reliably.
Thanks!
Hi Matt,
Thanks for you assistance it is very much appreciated.
I have done as you suggested and it appears that it is the siteorigin widgets bundle V 1.7.2 plugin that is causing the problem. I have disabled each widget in the bundle but the error must be in the main bundle itself and not an individual widget as it only works with the plugin deactivated
I have now requested support from siteorigin but dont hold out much hope with that.
Excellent support from yourself though.
Thank you very much!Hi Matt,
What I have also found now is that if I leave the Siteorigin widgets bundle activated but deactivate the Foogallery owl carousel, the syntax error diappears if you add a shortcode into their editor to add any other foogalleries (responsive or otherwise) the galleries will not show up, and the add foogallery button which shows in the siteorigin editor at the top still does not work either.
I have tried shortcodes from other plugins and they seem to work fine without any problem
Do you have any further suggestions or should I now see if siteorigin get back to me.
I am at a loss where to go next.
Thank you
Best regards-

Ya, I’ll dig into that now that I know it’s related specifically to the Siteorigin widget bundle. If I can replicate that error, then I can dig into what causes it and see if I can provide them insight into resolving it, or whether it’s something I should resolve on my end.
Just for confirmation, this is the plugin you’re referring to, right?
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/Thanks!
Hi Matt thanks,
Yes that is the plugin as also mentioned the insert foogallery button does not work with siteorigin editor is that something you can look at too?
Or can you direct me to someone who can.
Thanks again.Regarding the FooGallery problem, their support is here:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/foogallery/Regarding the JS error with the Siteorigin Widgets Bundle, I tested that with FooGallery and Owl Carousel and I could NOT reproduce your error at all. So that means that there’s something unique about your environment triggering that error. Do you have some custom Javascript added into your theme functions.php file or some other way? That JS is coming from somewhere, and if it’s not from another plugin then it’s got to be in the theme.
Let me know if you have any insight on that. Thanks!
Hi Matt
I do not have any additional scripts running that I am aware of.
I will try a clean install on another domain in the next few days and give it a try with a standard wordpress theme with just siteorigin, foogallery and owlcarousel plugins installed then see what happens, so as to rule out the theme and then I will get back to you.
ThanksI appreciate that. I definitely want to get this resolved for you but so far I’m coming up with nothing in terms of replicating the problem for insight into the issue.
Keep me posted!
