    i already have a webjournal that i designed myself in dreamweaver and i post manually. is there anyway i can make just have make wordpress post to the section of my existing design that normally has manual posts?
    i’ve played around for about 2 hours but i cant make it work

    Keep the top couple of lines from the wp index.php, and just have The Loop to pull in your posts.

    I don’t understand what you mean, I also have my own site that I use a MySQL database to manage my articles. I have an admin section that I use to create articles, delete articles, etc….
    I believe that this WordPress is easier, but I want to be able to use my own style.

    As you can see it is quite similar, or could I develop my own CMS beyond just basic forms. I know we should be supporting the product, but if it is possible to maintain my own work, I would rather do that.
