I really don’t see what changing ownership has anything to do with how the plugin performs. As the review section is for sharing your experience with the plugin and how it performed and nothing to do with ownership of the plugin as that’s an internal legal matter.
In short, the plugin has been acquired by VertiStudio so that they can take the plugin to new heights. Until this point, we (@salvatorefresta & @isaumya) spend countless hours on this plugin without any payment for our work or time.
Now after VertiStudio has acquired the plugin, they will spend paid development hour on this plugin to not only continuously improving it but also to ensure many features that we wanted t to add to this plugin but wasn’t able to due to the lack of financial baking or sponsorship, they can do that.
Moreover, they already have many great tools for which they can easily integrate them with this plugin and possibly in future make it a full-fledged caching plugin (not just page cache). Honestly, the possibilities are endless as now engineers are going to get paid for the work and not like us doing development and providing support without any remuneration.
Though the ownership has been changed, we the original creators will still be part of the plugin, just not as owners. With the backing of VertiStudio the plugin can do many things and improve a lot. I think you should put a 6-star review instead of 1 star just for the sake of future possibilities.
Moreover, do note that this is a free plugin that is working flawlessly after we spend millions of hours into it. So, I would highly appreciate it if you consider editing your review.
