In the older WP, you could disable the advanced editor, and also find the lines that used “wpautop” and comment them out so that when you used the code editor, it did not remove all P tags from your content.

NOW in WP 2.3, I have commented out ALL INSTANCED of wpautop and STILL CAN NOT GET those p tags to come back in the code editor!!!

Also, I can’t turn off the advanced editor, which is a pain to have to click the “code” tab every time.

I’m kind of mad because I just migrated from TypePad to WordPress to be able to to a nicer design … and now this so I can’t code all the pages. ??

  • admin > Users > Your profile: turn it off, if you know code. You don’t need it in that case.

When turned off, WP doesn’t touch your code.

Thank you! I was looking for that, as it was in another place in earlier versions … grr.
