• P2 doesn’t play nice with plugins that insert their functionality via a shortcode eg: bbPress, BadgeOS, Collabpress

It would be great if P2 had a simpler page template that didn’t automatically include the user avatar and timestamp of the creator of the page, so that elements that add additional functionality to the site are displayed cleaner. The issue seems to require more than merely creating a simpler page template, because these elements are called in the header, rather than as separate elements that could be omitted from an additional template.

Any thoughts on what could be done to create a child theme that fits these requirements? I’m at a loss.

    Cheers

A couple of ideas you might want to experiment with:

    – You could hide those elements with CSS wherever needed
    – You could create a second header file without the elements you want to remove and call it in via your child-theme’s custom page template
