• Once I change the header title from the text to the image file by uploading, the link to the top page of WP is gone even though “a” tag and bloginfo function are written in the source of the browser.

I checked the other WP site using P2 like eigobu.wordpress.com; the html source seems pretty much the same as mine. I haven’t looked up into CSS files, but is there anyone who has come accross the same situation and got out of it?

    My WP is:
using P2 theme, customized header with PNG file,
texts(site name and description) not displayed,
    under the language of Japanese.

    Thank you in advance.

    esmi,

    Thanks for the reply.

I have modified some parts like using a transparent gif file and changing the witdh on CSS.

    https://cs2.dohouse.co.jp/ban5han/

I added img tag on the template file with the original class “titleimg” on style.css.

Changing the width affects some other elements, so I may change it back, by the way.

I’m currently seeing a link on your header in FF3 – although there is a page shift onhover.

As other users mentioned, the theme header image should link to the homepage, since if we choose to hide the text, this removes the link. I’m on a WordPress.com blog, so can’t make changes to the theme (without paying for that).

    esmi,

Thank you for checking the web. I added the modification to insert the link, which causes the page shift on hover. I just can not get rid of the shift with my poor skill. I was hoping that someone showed the way he/she did to put the link back…

I set the original P2 theme back if you could have a time to check it again, please.

    howardshippin,

So, the P2 theme on WordPress.com can not put the link without the title text, either. We just wait for the fix, then.
