    Hello everyone,

    I need to add extra weight to the total weight of my Cart weight. Is it possible to do it?

  • For which reasons do you need extra weight? Is it to add some shipping cost?

    If you need to adjust some shipping cost, and currently using flat rate, you could adjust the base cost for it, or based on the classes.

    Else, you could use a plugin like Table Rate Shipping to adjust shipping costs.

    Hello,

    thank you for your response.

    For every shipment, there is an extra packaging which weights 400g and I have to calculate that cost in the total.

    What I did so far is I created a dummy product, which is automatically added to the cart and has a price of 0.0 and weight of 400g. It’s not an optimal solution but I found nothing else at the moment.

    I am not quite sure if this is what I can get from the suggested plugin.

    Is your store based in the US or Canada by any chance?

    If so, WooCommerce Services could help return shipping rates, and also add custom package, taking the package’s weight in account, https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-services/#section-5
