    Hi,

I am using the packing list function.

Today I manually changed items on an order and when I downloaded the packing list it is showing the orginal items and quantities, not the updated order with the changes I made.

How can I set it up so that the packing list PDF is always generated based on the current order details?

    Br,
    Tobias

    Hello Tobias,
Are you using the latest version of the plugin (today’s update 2.4.2)? There was a bug that would serve cached versions of the PDF with some hosts, that was resolved in that update.

Yes, i have confirmed. It is the latest version.

That’s strange – how exactly are you making these changes? Are you editing them directly or are you using the refund functionality?

    Editing them directly.

I actually think there’s a very good chance you are still using 2.4.1. We pushed out the update 2.4.2 to the www.ads-software.com servers this morning but the version (‘stable tag’) was still set to the old version so that it wasn’t rolled out to the users yet. It should be set to 2.4.2 now, can you check which version you are using?

You were correct, the latest version was not installed.
Now i have version 2.4.2 but this error still persists.

So to be more specific, these are the changes I made to the order and the PDF packing list still shows the original data, not the modified data.

    – For 2 products I have changed meta-data. These two products contains a “WooCommerce Product Addon” field which is what I have updated manually.

    – I have added a charge to the order, which does not show up on the picking list. Maybe this is correct since it really is not a product but a cost?

Thanks, that’s important information in this context, to know you’re editing product addons. Do you see the updated product addon data inside the WooCommerce email when you resend it? Could you try a regular order/item to see if you get the same issue?

    Hi,

I just tested and with regular products the meta data is updated. So the problem is that meta data for product addon fields are not updated when the PDF packing list is being generated.

Thanks, can you also check the product addons data in the email that is sent to your customer (after updating)? Our plugin uses the same methods, so if it’s an issue in the PDF I expect it to be an issue there too and it’s probably best to fix the root cause.

    Hi,

I have checked the email and it is the same issue there, the updated meta data from product using Product Addon is not displaying.

How would you recommend that I proceed?

I recommend describing your issue step by step and reporting it to the Product Addons support so they can replicate it and perhaps also tell you how to resolve it. I’m closing this ticket for now, as this is not an issue caused by the PDF invoices & packing slips plugin.
