Page 2 showing full posts intead of excerpts

    Hey Scott,

    Quick question for you. I’m showing excerpts on my homepage instead of full posts by checking this box: Use entry excerpts instead of full text on site home. Excludes sticky posts.

    However, when I scroll to the bottom and click “Older posts” to go to page 2, it shows the full posts instead of just the excerpts. I also have this box checked: Use entry excerpts on archive, category, and author pages.

    Any thoughts?

    Regardless of this, very please with Decode so far. Can’t wait for the new version ??

  • Where are those settings? I am currently trying to do the opposite in that I want the older posts to show entire post or, preferably have the original “Read More…” link liks the home page has.

    Ugh. Sorry Imm5247, this is a conflict with Jetpack. I’m not sure how they handle loading the next page of posts, but it’s clearly not working well with Decode. I’ll make a note of this and see if I can fix it in a later version, but Jetpack is only so extensible, so it may not be possible.

    Jim – Make sure you’re running Decode or a child of Decode. From the dashboard, go to Appearance–>Customize–>Content options.

    Scott – No worries! I didn’t even think about it being Jetpack. I disabled Jetpack to test and it’s working properly (showing excerpts on the second page). Sorry for putting the blame on Decode. Btw, looking forward to downloading the 3.0 release!

    This is actually something I found I was able to fix. Will be released in Decode 3.0.1.
