Page and Post Excerpt for Content Views

I am using wordpress twenty sixteen (boatingtrax.com) which doesn’t seem to have an page or post excerpt option. I am using plug in Content Views which has a nice option to display excerpts. Does anyone know if there a suitable plug in to enable an excerpt for my theme which will be picked up by Content Views? Cheers. Bob
