When I add a contact card showing a Google map to the footer widget area, the page automatically scrolls to the footer when the page loads. When I select some other type of info to show in that contact card, it works correctly.

I think this might be the issue since this problem just started recently and this change was implemented June 3. https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/releases.

Hi Ducky,

We set up a test page for this and, for us, it seems to be not doing this. You can see this here:

We’ve added the Contact Card widget and checked the “Show Address” and “Show Google Map” options. It doesn’t automatically scroll down to the widget when the page loads.

With that in mind, would you be able to let met know exactly what options you checked for that widget, and then also let me know exactly what you have set/entered for all the options in the “Contact Information” section of the Basic settings page? Sharing a screenshot of those settings would be helpful/easier (just make sure to block out your Google API if you’re using that).

Thank-you for your help.

In the footer widget area, I have two Contact Card widgets. The first is the business info: Show Name, Show Address, Show Phone Number, Show Contact details, Show Opening Hours, Show brief opening hours on one line. The second widget only has Google map.

I am using Google API.

Hi Ducky,

I’m not sure what the difference is between your implementation and ours. That being said, I just had another look at your page and it’s not automatically scrolling any more. What did you change or do to make that happen? Was it related to something else in your install?

I didn’t change, update, or do anything to the site, so it must have been a problem on Google’s end.
