    Hello,

I need the store pages, product pages etc (everything related to the store), to be :

    • not indexed
    • not crawled by google

    The problem today is :

    • they are indexed (if you do the command site:lescoconsdenath.fr you’ll see that 80% of indexed pages are store or product pages)
    • they are continuously crawled by Google (I can see this in the search console)
    • there are also a large number of pages (20% of crawls) that are in 404 (I should point out that I don’t have any control over them, all these pages are created automatically by WP easycart when I create a category or a product)

I’ve already contacted wp easycart support, who told me how to use all in one seo to request that the pages not be indexed, which I did (screenshot below). I’ve also removed the stores pages from the site map.

Despite this manipulation, Google continues to crawl my pages, to index them and to come across 404s…

Can you please help me? I’m in over my head, and every day that goes by with these indicators of poor site health means I’m taking a very big risk….

I tried to put the link to my screenshots so that they would display but it doesn’t… Here are the links where they are hosted online:

    Hey @telpo25,

Your settings look fine at first glance. Can you share a few example URLs of products on your site so our support team can investigate the source code?

    Hi @telpo25,

    Thanks for the follow-up.

In checking the product pages shared, they don’t contain a noindex rule in the robots meta – https://a.supportally.com/i/AJLIeh so they will be indexed by Google.

You can set these products to noindex by editing the product, then scroll down to AIOSEO Settings > Advanced and toggle Off the Use Default Settings Robots Settings and set them to No Index.

Be sure to clear any website, server, or CDN cache.

The non-cart pages are throwing a 404 not found page error and are set to noindex. You could create redirects for these pages.

In general, the “add to cart” pages are not indexed. They may be crawled if there is a link that can be followed.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Thank you for your reply, but there is a problem if the page is not in no index.

I’m very familiar with the procedure you describe, but it’s not possible in this case because it’s not a page I’ve created and I don’t have access to it.
On the other hand, as I mentioned in my previous screenshots, I’ve set all in one seo so that the stores pages are in no index, so if they’re not there, there’s a real problem….

    Hi @telpo25,

I installed WP EasyCart on my local site for testing.

I see that the content type Store_Items for the plugin is added to All in One SEO > Search Appearance > Content Types and setting noindex has no effect.

However, if you set Pages to noindex, then the products are also set to noindex.

So the plugin is storing their “Products” under the post type named “Page”, which is also a default WP post type, so we are unable able to apply noindex to just the products.

However, our robots meta filter could be used to set noindex to the products of the plugin.

The best solution here would be to share our robots meta filter with the Developers of WP EasyCart and they should be able set it up to apply noindex to their products.

Here’s a link to our robots meta filter that you can share- https://aioseo.com/docs/aioseo_robots_meta/

Please let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll be happy to help.

    Thanks!
