    Hello,
I’ve installed the theme on local server, to test and edit sites. I like Bento very much, but I have problems with SiteOrigin’s Page Builder and Widgets. They work on Sidebars and Footer but not on pages. I’ve seen the apache log error line: “PHP Warning: date() expects at most 2 parameters, 3 given in /var/www/xxxxx/wp-content/themes/bento/includes/metaboxes/inc
    ludes/CMB2_Base.php on line 315, referer: https://xxxxx/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page”
I thought is the CMB2 problem, I’ve installed the plugin, not fixed. Then I’ve update PHP to 7.3 and enabled modules, still no chance.
I have reinstalled everything leave only Polylang, SiteOrigin’s and CMB2 plugins. Still not working.
The plugins works perfect on default TwentyXX themes.
I very much appreciate some help. Thank you!
    Will

  • Re the above…
Even if I try and just add a siteOrigin widget I get an immediate error:
“This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed”

Hello @craigthill, after reproducing this error, could you please check the Javascript console to see if there are any error messages there – if yes, please paste them here or send over a screenshot. Thanks for your patience!

I may have entered this problem in the wrong place… sorry.
My problem is with Gutenberg and SiteOrigin. When I try and add a siteOrigin Widget or edit existing SiteOrigin Widget I get an error. You helped on this at version 2.1, but now the same error is back.

On the chance you were asking about the Javascript info, I opened the Javascript console and this is there:

Hm, none of the errors looks like it’s been generated by Bento’s code – in fact, since 2.1 we haven’t changed much in terms of JS. Might it be a newly installed plugin that’s causing the issue? Have you tried deactivating all plugins excluding Gutenberg/SiteOrigin, refreshing the page and checking if there are any JS errors with that setup? (before you do that you can also try updating Bento to the latest version and checking if that might be fixing the issue, just in case – but judging from the console output I’d not place large bets on it..)

Yes, I removed all plugins except SiteOrigin. (need that to see error). The error is either adding a siteOrigin widget or editing a existing page, that is running fine. I am trying to update my home and other pages that use siteOrigin widgets. Aleways the same error just like before 2.1… My webpage is going no place with this error. Other WP themes that I have tried do not have this problem, only Bento. Pleas fix… don’t even want to change themes.

Hello @craigthill , try to use Classic Editor and Classic Editor addon plugins. Then you can switch between Page Builder and editor. All my pages are made with PB except those Woo related and works with no problems. Regards

@craigthill alright, I’ll need to see your WP backend to further troubleshoot this one; please email me at support[at]satoristudio.net, we’ll take it from there. Thanks for your patience!
