Page Builder content not displaying after changing themes

I am not sure, what could be the reason the page builder not displaying the content.

It might be something the respective page builder team could take a look or help.

I think we’ve figured out the issue, although not the solution. The page content was all created using the Kleanity page builder, GoodLayers. From what we can tell, the GoodLayer page builder content does not transfer to the Astra theme.

Thanks for your reply, Suman. I was thinking I should probably get in touch with the people at GoodLayers. Maybe they have a solution for easily transferring content from their page builder.

There seems to be some misunderstanding.

While I am not sure, about the GoodLayers.

I wanted to clarify, Astra is a theme just like other WordPress themes that allows overall styling to your content which is added from the page builders or the default Gutenberg.

So the content won’t be automatically switched to the Astra theme. You will need the Astra theme for styling and the respective page builder for the content of your website.

Do forward the same with the page builder team too.

Sorry, this is my first time trying to switch themes on WP, so I’m not entirely clear. In your opinion, the content from the GoodLayers page builder should be able to display with the Astra theme?

Yes, as the content is controlled by the page builder or Gutenberg editor on any website.

Astra just like other WordPress themes will only provide the option to manage the overall styling of your website.

If that is the case, can you advise me on how I might be able to get my page builder content to display with the Astra theme? I just opened a support ticket at wpastra.com, but I’m curious if you have any ideas.

There still seems some confusion.

You won’t need to move your content to display with the theme. This could be different in the case of other page builders.

While in general, you can just change your theme to Astra and make the layout changes.

You can even refer to the following document to help you Switch to Astra theme.

Thanks Suman. I’ll try out the ‘Switch to Astra’ plugin and see if that helps getting my page builder content to show up. In the documentation for the ‘Switch to Astra’ plugin, it mentions getting your content to display ‘full width’. I don’t know if this is exactly the problem that I’m experiencing, but we’ll see. Just to provide you with some additional information, here is the html code that is currently being rendered for my page content when the Astra theme is activated.

I was not able to locate any ‘Switch to Astra’ plugin. Still no luck getting page builder content to display with the Astra theme.

Ok. I’ll need to see about getting ftp access to the site. I’ll keep you posted. Also, I seem to have lost track of the support ticket I opened on your website. I don’t think I ever got a response, but I can’t seem to find any email record of the ticket being opened.
