• The issues with Page Builder and Yoast SEO are well-documented. Yoast says they provided the ability for other plugin developers to talk to their product and it’s up to them to implement that. We haven’t seen any updates yet, but I am hopeful.

Today, however I experienced another issue where PPB doesn’t seem to be sending out any signals. When we develop a new site, we create it first at the a Development URL (i.e., https://dev.sitename.com). When it’s ready to go live, we duplicate the files and database to the production location, change the site name and home name to the Public URL (i.e., https://sitename.com) and use Velvet Blues Update URLs plugin to change all instances of the old development URL to the production one. Eventually we delete the old Dev site/URL when it’s no longer needed. It’s never had a hiccup until we launched the first site we ever built using PPB last week. Everything worked fine until today when it was time to delete/retire the old Dev site. As soon as I took it down all the images and URLs that were created inside of PPB came up as broken links. Running Velvet Blues again found no issues. It seems that it can’t look into the content of PPB-built pages for the same reasons that Yoast SEO doesn’t know what’s on the pages.

In my world this is a serious problem that may prevent me from using this on any other sites ever again. Is there an development roadmap that aims to fix these issues in the near future?
