Since there is no answer from the devs, I am assuming it is true that only plain sitemaps with all the links in one page works with W3 total cache. Now the questions is:

Can we specify comma separated sitemaps in
Page Cache >> Cache Preload >> Sitemap URL

    Hello,

    Sorry for the late reply.
You have to supply the main sitemap, which could be an index too. The plugin will look for <sitemap>, which specifies another sitemap URL and parse that URL as a sitemap too. So “nested” sitemaps are no problem.
only one Sitemap URL: can be used for Cache Preload.

    Sorry for the late reply.

    Please don’t be.

This is really weird, when I tried earlier (before asking here) it didn’t seem to work, now I tried again and it is working ??

Thank you for the help Marko, marking this as resolved.
