• When I activated this plugin, all seemed okay until I tried to test cache. I got a long error message.

“Page caching seems not working for both dynamic and static pages.

Error on dynamic page (https://oldnaija.com): Invalid Cache-Control response header. If you are using Litespeed Server, please disable the option Overwrite the cache-control header for WordPress’s pages using web server rules, purge the cache and retry.

Error on static resource (https://oldnaija.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cloudflare-page-cache/assets/testcache.html): Cache status: BYPASS – Cloudflare has been instructed to not cache this asset…

I’ve deactivated the other cache plugin so that’s no longer an issue. I’m less of a techy guy, I don’t even know how to check or confirm if the cache is really working. All I know is that my Gtmetrix performance score decreased badly after installation and the test cache is returning error.

    Kindly help.

Also, I’ve checked similar threads and tried the solutions prescribed but non worked. I checked my DNS on cloudflare and everything is ticked orange, A records and WWW records included. I’ve also tried to remove page rules (one) from cloudflare dashboard but the problem still persist. So, I had to reset everything and seek direct help. Thanks.

Im still getting the error in the plugin tho but after a few chats with my hosting provider, my google dev tool now shows “cf-cache-status: HIT” in the response header. Should I still be worried?

First of all I have already told you in your previous comment in a previous thread that your first HTML type requests has 2 cache-control header data in it which is bad as one try to overwrite the other. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/lgl5ZaH.png

If you do not know from where there other cache control header is getting added contact your host, they can run a search in the server to see from where that is getting added.

Now coming to the “Test Cache” button, that button sometimes shows false negative. The best way to check if the cache is working is by checking the response header in chrome dev tools.
