    Hi @joyryde,
Looking at the response header, I can see that the plugin has been added properly and it is also working properly.

Can you please share a screenshot of the Page Rule section from your Cloudflare Dashboard?

    Hi @joyryde,
Looking at the response header now, I do not see the headers that are added by the plugin. Instead I see x-cache: HIT which shows there is some other page caching system you have in place for your website, either some caching plugin or some server level page caching system.

When using this plugin, please ensure you have disabled all other page caching system you have in place for your website. Please let me know when you have enabled this plugin on your site so that I can take another look at your website again.

Hi, we removed the plugin last night after testing Gtmetrix for 24 hours. All of our page scores dropped from A to a C or a B- with the plugin active, and our LCP time dropped from 1.6-1.8 to 4 so we had to remove it.

There is always Cloudways server level caching active with or without the plugin so that’s probably what you are seeing.

we were hoping it would help loading times but it made it twice as bad. and the warning that caching wasn’t working never went away.

    Hi @joyryde,
If the plugin is not working properly and the pages are not getting cached in Cloudflare CDN then you will not see any benefits. But once the plugin is working properly, I don’t think it is going to make things bad as I have not seen it do that ever. But finally the choice is yours if you would like to use it or not.

Hi, you said it was working when you checked it.

    Hi @joyryde,
You misunderstood my message. In order for your website to be cached at Cloudflare CDN the two following things need to happen:

    1. The plugin is working properly i.e. adding/managing the response headers as it should
    2. The Cloudflare rules and settings are working fine in order for the plugin to talk to it.

When I checked your website the (1) was ok. But the problem was with (2). That’s why I asked you to provide the screenshot of the page rule section from Cloudflare dashboard.

So, if you choose to re-enable the plugin on your website, please do share the page rule screenshot from the Cloudflare dashboard so that I can see what’s going on.

But before I get time to test, you disabled it.

We can reinstall tonight to test again.

    Hi Saumya!

I’ve re-enabled it for testing. It says:

Page caching seems not working for both dynamic and static pages.

Error on dynamic page (https://nomadicsupply.com): The plugin is not detected on your home page. If you have activated other caching systems, please disable them and retry the test.

Error on static resource (https://nomadicsupply.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cloudflare-page-cache/assets/testcache.html): Cache status: DYNAMIC – The resource was not cached by default and your current Cloudflare caching configuration doesn’t instruct Cloudflare to cache the resource. Instead, the resource was requested from the origin web server.

Please check if the page caching is working by yourself by surfing the website in incognito mode ’cause sometimes Cloudflare bypass the cache for cURL requests. Reload a page two or three times. If you see the response header cf-cache-status: HIT, the page caching is working well.

    Hi @joyryde,
You forgot to share the screenshot of the page rule section from your Cloudflare dashboard. Please provide that.

As I can see the plugin is doing it’s job properly. The issue is at the Cloudflare settings level. Not at the plugin level.

    Hi @joyryde,
Yes but I do need to see it the current situation of the page rule section. So, please share them and also please disable the Page Rule no 1 and 2 that you have in your CF dashboard.
