    Hi @joyryde,
I’m not sure if it worked as I am still seeing x-cache as HIT in the response header: https://i.imgur.com/VyLV52Q.jpeg

Is there a way to disable the caching from Cloudways dashboard? If so please do that and then purge the cloudways cache and then cloudflare cache.

The problem with your site is that the plugin is asking Cloudflare to cache your website but your Cloudflare account is not caching the webpages.

I am pretty confident that the plugin Cloudways installed is working, as they tested it last week. The plugin reports the following currently:

    https://tinyurl.com/28kvup6q

    Development Mode Settings

In Development Mode, WordPress will prevent visitors from seeing cached content on your site. You can enable this for 24 hours, after which it will automatically disable itself. This will make your site run slower, so please use with caution.

Development Mode?Development Mode is active until April 15, 2023 @ 6:33 am. It will automatically disable after that time.

Cloudways has a half dozen different cache types on their server, I wouldn’t know which one to purge.

    Hi @joyryde,
The crazy thing is I am still seeing the bot management cookie in your webpage which I think is causing the issue with cache. I’ve tried everything and it seems some configuration in your website is preventing the cache system to work on your website. I am sorry, but as I do not have access to your website, cloudways account and Cloudflare account, I’m not sure anything more can be done from my end.

I would suggest you to put a temp WP site with a fresh WP install in a subdomain of your website like test.yourdomain.com and in there install and setup this plugin to see if the caching is working properly.

Something is going on with your Cloudflare account as the pages should be cached but they are not. The Bot management cookie is supposed to be removed after disabling the feature but it is not.

Hi, OK, so this is Cloudflare’s issue to resolve? Or is it Cloudways automatic integration with Cloudflare Enterprise?

We can’t create an entirely new website, this is an extremely complex ecommerce website with very high traffic… and we don’t have a clue how to do that anyway.

Do you want me to enable Development Mode in the Cloudflare account?

    Hi @joyryde,
Enabling development mode inside Cloudflare account won’t help. It will simply disable all caching from Cloudflare end. Also enabling development mode inside Cloudways account might give you other issues.

But you can open a support ticket at Cloudflare asking them that I have cache-control: s-maxage=31536000, max-age=60 set in my response header for the webpages of https://nomadicsupply.com/ and I also have a Cache Everything Page Rule set for https://nomadicsupply.com/*, then why is my cf-cache-status remains DYNAMIC and not HIT. Let’s see what is their response.

Also tell them that that despite disabling the Bot Fight Mode the __cf_bm cookie is still getting added to my webpages.

Do let me know what they say.

I tried but they denied it. They said:

Customers on our Free plans can only submit tickets for billing, account, and registrar issues.

    Hi @joyryde,
I am so sorry to hear that. But without them looking into your account to see what’s going on, I really can’t do much with limited access. Can you try contacting them on Twitter maybe? Though I know that this issue will be solved if you move to BigScoots which provides managed WP hosting service and has Cloudflare optimized servers, but I cannot ask you to chance your webhost for this.

I posted this to the Cloudflare Community Forum, which is the only place they will allow it to be posted.

I also purged Cloudflare from inside Cloudways Hosting here:

    Hi @joyryde,
It seems the reason this plugin is not working on your website is that your website is using the managed Cloudflare system of Cloudways. So, no matter whatever settings you enable/disable in your Cloudflare dashboard, that will never get reflected as your domain is managed by the Cloudflare Enterprise account owned by Cloudways and not by your own Cloudflare account.

So, whatever settings they enable in your enterprise account will be enabled on your site and you have no control over it. This is why the plugin is not working on your site cause your Cloudflare account has no control over your domain. Can you share a screenshot of your DNS so that I can verify this?

    Thread Starter joyryde

    (@joyryde)

Yes, that sounds correct as Cloudways recommends that you use the Enterprise $200 a month plan with them for free, rather than using the free plan with Cloudflare, or paying $200 for Enterprise. It’s included with the hosting.

    Hi @joyryde,
Yes that is the problem. When you use their Cloudflare account, then you have to use whatever settings configuration that they have set globally for everyone, rather than having your own account handling your website traffic the way you want it to. The choice is yours. But now you know why the plugin is not working.

    Thread Starter joyryde

    (@joyryde)

OK! I will report back to them about this, thank you. Now you know that all Cloudways hosted websites can’t use the plugin at least!

    (@isaumya)

    Hi @joyryde,
I don’t think it’s all Cloudways website. It’s only the sites who are using Cloudway’s Enterprise Cloudflare account on their website. There are many Cloudways users using this plugin on their website who are not using the Cloudways CF Enterprise system and instead is using their own Cloudflare account.
