Page Can’t be found issue

  • Hello everyone,

    Am a beginner for WordPress sites, Please look into the below problem and assist me.

    My webhost is godaddy and i have installed the wordpress web application using cpanel. and i

    have Installed my theme(Bought from theme forest) and deleted other old themes using

    cpanel ->Filemanager. When i try to access my website Domainname/wp-admin ,i was told to update the

    settings,contact information and theme. When i try to install my theme, it takes one mintue of time

    and rendered with the theme , but the message i have got in the page is “That page can’t be found”.

    Even if i click “Customize Link”, i was asked once again to update the settings,contact information

    and theme. Please help on

    There is lots of ambiguity in your reply.

    But don’t worry.

    Let’s work one step at a time.

    When you are logged into the dashboard, go to:

    Appearance -> Themes

    There look for you “Custom theme” and activate it.

    Brother,

    Am not able to see the Dashboard in the wp-admin page.

    Do we have some other place to look the Dashboard?

    When i try to hit thecookiesonline/wp-admin in the browser,

    Step 0 comes first
    Step 1 comes next
    Step 2 comes last.

    Please refer the attached images to understand the Step0,1,2.

    Step 0 -> This page comes as soon as i logged into wp-admin
    Step 1 -> This page comes as soon as i select any of the theme in Step 0
    Step 2 -> This page comes once i select the theme.

    Apart from these i cant able to see Dashboard

    But am not able to see the dashboard there.

    Hmm, so you can login to the WordPress dashboard, but you’re not seeing the dashboard content?

    What happens when you visit this URL?

    https://www.thecookiesonline.com/wp-admin/themes.php

    You should see a grid of thumbnails representing each of the themes that you currently have uploaded to your server.

    Yes,Am able to login, but am not able to see the dashboard content

    Tried with the URL you mentioned, No luck ??

    Dashboard not coming. Getting the same Theme Selection Page( What you see in the Step 0 in the earlier

    messages)
