Page category and link titile

  • Morning to all.
    Great plugin, simple, streamlined and complete.

    I have a problem….
    In the categories page e.g. ?eventt_cat=aaaa
    In the list of posts/events that appears I would like the title (if set as “Redirect event title to the more info link” to go to the external link, which doesn’t happen.

    So I end up with the title opening the internal page of the site and the “more info” link opening the link to another page.

    How can I resolve this discrepancy?

    Hi,

    I don’t have a fix for this. On this “native” category page the event title (and featured image) are handled by your theme. On that native page VSEL does not have control over anything outside the event details/info section. Besides this, events are not listed on event date. So I don’t recommend listing events this way, but use the shortcode with category attribute instead.

    OK I did some tests and indeed with the shortcode I solve the problem, but I create another one ??

    The categories that are then published of the article in the archive, refer to the permalink of the plugin and thus refer me to an “incorrect” category page.

    Yes, best is to disable the linking of the categories (via the settingspage). Because events are listed on event date, the native category page is useless for listing events. I don’t have a fix for this.

    OK I have made several attempts, but I always find a compromise in the middle.
    Now I made several changes to your plugin when you had discontinued the updates and now that you have resumed and revisited all the PHP code from what I can see, I am finding it difficult to make the changes I need.

    Is it possible to commission you to make some custom changes for a fee?
    How can I communicate with you in case?

    Hi,

    I currently don’t have time for major customizations. For minor changes I can help you via this forum.

    And regarding the categories, there’s no alternative I think. This is how it works. Only if event date is not important, you can use the native structure of WP to list event category pages.
