• Greetings! I’m making a library type of site that will hold lots of static pages (books) using the Divi Theme. I want to search the content/body of the books with Relevanssi since I wasn’t getting anywhere with default search. Currently I’m not seeing any book content appear in search results, for example, when I search the word “truth” I expect to see many hits. Since that word is used a lot in my book content.

No Hits from Page Content :<

Maybe Im doing something wrong? Here are my current settings for clarity.

Im not really accustom to wordpress sites, just now getting into it, hence this next question… I notice documentation is mainly focusing on posts, for example in the debugging screen it appears to be debugging for posts only…

but as you can see my site will be using very little if any post since it is static for the most part. Im wondering when you say post does that also include content from pages, or is it really just posts? Also do you think Relevanssi would be a good fit for my use case. Ultimately my aim is to make a shadow of this sites search page EllenWhite.Org Website – Advanced Search – White Estate Archives.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

For starters, “post” in the debugging page means all post types, which includes posts, pages, attachments and any custom post types you have. So you can use the debugger to check pages.

So check the pages with the debugger: is all content indexed? The content will look different, as the Relevanssi debugger lists all the individual words on the page in alphabetical order.

Based on what I see on your page, I expect this to be some kind of an indexing problem.

You can also try the Relevanssi admin search under Dashboard > Admin search. Does that work any better?

Great okay so I found out my id for this page, https://osaint-sample-sites.com/shepherds-rod-message/tract-1/, and here is what I get after entering it in debugger.

The results of the admin search are the same as font end.

It seems my page content/body is not getting indexed right? What should I do from here.

Yes, nothing gets in the index. What does the “What does this post look like in the database” debugger show for the page?

According to that, the page content is pretty much empty. You’re using Divi; usually Divi stores the page contents in the actual page content, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here. So where is the text of the page? Is it perhaps stored in the custom fields?

Hmm okay maybe its the way I’m doing things? I don’t think I use custom fields, All I did really was use a Divi text module for my book content for each book, here are some screen shots of Tract 1 for clarity. All the books follow this same layout.

If everything here looks fine too you, can you suggest something else I should check to send more screenshots?

If Divi doesn’t store it in the post content, then it’s likely in custom fields. Try setting Relevanssi to index visible custom fields and reindex. Does that help? If not, set Relevanssi to index all custom fields and try again.

So I have tried changing the custom field to all the options available and rebuilding the index for each option but to no avail :<. I am really looking forward to getting Relevanssi to work on my site as soon as possible and to that end I went ahead and purchased a premium membership with the hopes that I can get some premium support? IDK but, are you okay with having a teamviewer session with me, to help me nail down the exact problem? If not thats okay too, better to ask then not.

Also I noticed when I try to activate the premium version of Relevanssi I get this error,
