Page counts can not be set to 0

    Hello,

    I use Duplicate Posts quite a while. Now I duplicated an old post already with thousands of views and I recognized that the page count is not set to 0. It does not matter if I use “duplicate” or “new draft”.

    I am using latest version of WordPress and Gutenberg block editor.

    Does anyone has the same experience?

    So the case is that page views are also duplicated, and you don’t want that?

    Which plugin do you use for that page counter feature?

    Yes, you are right, I do not want to duplicate the page views.

    I use “Burst Statistics” from “Really Simple Plugins” (+100.000 active installations)

    I did not find any switch to prefent those stats to be duplicated.

    @mlsensai Do you perhaps have the option “All post meta” enabled in the plugin section “Which elements shall be copied?” ?

    I did not enable ?all post meta“.

    But after you asked I recognised working with German version could be difficult in terms of using the ?exclude from duplicate field“ where I previously added ?*Seitenaufrufe*“ what is the name in German. I now added ?*count*“ to it and that seems to work.

    Is it possible that only the native field names are taken in account to be searched for the exclude strings?

    If translated field names of system language would be considered it would be very nice as every field could be excluded manually using also the system language expressions.

    Our free version can duplicate only most popular and widely used plugins related to page building and WooCommerce environment. These have dedicated duplication method included.

    For any other third-party plugin that our free version struggle to duplicate properly, you may need premium version of CDP, which include flexible solution and “smart” duplication. But if that won’t be enough we’re always happy to add another dedicated method into our premium version.

    Regarding plugin you mentioned, free version was not tested with this plugin.

    In terms of translation, our plugin uses native www.ads-software.com translation, we can’t really do anything about the way it works.

    as I previously described I found a solution by using the Englisch field names.
    That works fine.

    Maybe that could be somehow mentioned for dublicate post for the free version. If exclamations have to be done that original field names have to be used.
