Page Custom Template not refreshing

  • I’m trying to change the template of a page in my website, and every time I hit “update” and go back to “edit page”, the template has gone to the default settings. The default choices return to the drop down menus all the time.

    I have already deactivated every plugin, and the problem persists.
    I also checked tables in database (They were all OK and I still repaired wp_postmeta).

    Is there anything else I could try?

    Are you using the browser ‘back’ button to do so? Does it show what was there before? What happens if you use the admin menu items to navigate (and not the browser forward/back buttons)?

    No, I don’t use the browser buttons. I click “Update”, “View page” and (When I see that the changes didn’t get saved) “Edit page” again.

    I have also made changes on the text and those DO get saved. The only thing that wont change is the template selection. It always goes back to the default.
